CONSTRUCTION PROJECT JURY AND EXHIBITION ORGANIZED IN HISTORICAL ITALIAN CHURCH (07.06.2022)

The final jury and student works of the 2021-2022 Spring Semester Building Sciences Department MİM 364 Construction Project course were presented at the end of the term exhibition on June 7, 2022 at the historical Italian Church in Kaleiçi.

The jury and exhibition attended by TMMOB Chamber of Architects Edirne Representative started with the opening speeches of MİM 364 Construction Project course coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esma MIHLAYANLAR, TMMOB Chamber of Architects Edirne Representation Chairman of the Board Cenk ERGÜDEN and Dean of our Faculty Prof. Dr. Burcu ÖZGÜVEN.

Construction Project Course Coordinator Assoc. Dr. Esma MIHLAYANLAR stated that "The architectural design project of the student was prepared as an application project with workshops at the required scales for 15 weeks, within the framework of law, regulation and engineering services, in the 6th semester Construction Project course in the architecture department education program".

TMMOB Chamber of Architects Edirne Representation Chairman Architect Cenk ERGÜDEN stated that “As Chamber of Architects, they will always be in cooperation with the Faculty and they are willing to plan new studies to contribute to the professional development of the students”.

Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Burcu ÖZGÜVEN expressed her gratitude to our teachers, students and all participants who contributed to the realization of the event and stated that they are pleased to hold the jury and the exhibition in this historical building.

After the speeches, a music concert was presented by the students of Trakya University State Conservatory. After the concert, the students of the conservatory and the Edirne Representation Board Chairman Architect Cenk ERGÜDEN were given certificates of appreciation by our Faculty Deputy Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Faik KARA and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esma MIHLAYANLAR, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Filiz UMAROĞULLARI and Assist. Assist. Prof. Dr. Şule YILMAZ ERTEN for their participation.

In the evaluation of the final jury, which was held in two sessions, the application projects of the students, which included different production systems, were examined through the presentation sheets under the consultancy of the workshop coordinators. Citizens showed interest throughout the day in the jury and exhibition, which was held with the participation of faculty members and students of our faculty, representatives of the Chamber of Architects and architects.
